The 2016 RUVASA congress will be held over three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, on 10-12 March 2016 at the Ranch Hotel, close to Polokwane.
The congress will be structured around the usual 3 days for dairy cattle, small stock and beef and the theme will centre on using pastures (both natural and artificial) to optimise production and profits, and to minimise disease risks associated with incorrect nutrition. Since feeding costs for a farming operation amount to 65-75% total costs, and keeping in mind the crucial role that is cost-effective adequate nutrition plays in all production and reproduction as well as its effects on many diseases, this theme is targeted at making ruminant livestock veterinarians proficient in guiding farmers/clients to achieve optimum production and profit. Those who have expertise in these or other pertinent and are able to contribute one or more papers should send an abstract (not more than 1 page) that outlines the content concisely and also completely to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration.
All proposed contributors will be evaluated by a suitably qualified panel.
Abstracts should be sent by September 30 for evaluation.
